Plug for Crossed Genre and the Aether Age
The folks over at Crossed Genres have released their first novel: A Festival of Skeletons, by New Zealand author R.J. Astruc. It’s described as a novel of “zombies, necromancers, merkind, serial killers and cross-dressing”, so if that sounds fun, you might want to check it out! It will or at least SHOULD surprise none of you that since I was handed a raise and a review bonus, in addition to getting my shiny new guitar, I also cut a big swath through my ebook wishlist! Drum roll, if you please: Also, although this is an audiobook it does IMO count: That…

Awesome Guitar Acquisition of Awesomeness
Ladies and gentlemen, as promised, today I went with my beloved solarbird to Dusty Strings and got myself a shiny brand new guitar! This is the (overdue) part 4 of my series of posts on how to choose what you want in a reading device. This particular post’s topic: do you want a device that just focuses on reading books? Or do you want it to do other things as well? I was pretty happy with my iPhone…

Yet another power outage
But at least this one was short. Woke up around 5:30, and failed to get back to sleep in the Comfy Blankets of Comfiness, so around 6:30 I thought “screw it” and got up with the intention of having a nice leisurely breakfast and then heading out for work. So there I was boiling water…

iTunes 10 user? Annoyed by moving of Close/Minimize/Zoom buttons?
Found a fix for putting those buttons back in the configuration that EVERY OTHER MAC PROGRAM STILL USES, with a quick Google. Open up a Terminal window and type in the following line: defaults write com.apple.iTunes full-window -boolean YES Then restart iTunes and the Close/Minimize/Zoom buttons should be back in their previous arrangement. Yay!

Ebook postings now resuming!
Apologies for the hiatus on the ebook posts, y’all; they ran into a roadblock when Seattle got smacked upside the head with winter early last week, and then the holidays kicked in, so! As of tomorrow I will resume the rest of the ebook posts, though! If you missed the previous ones, here are their…
