Ladies and gentlemen, with the acquisition of my iPhone as of today, I hereby declare the poll for what to name it OPEN. I am posting it here on angelakorrati.com so as to be friendly to non-LJ users as well as LJ users.
You may still comment on any of the LJ-mirrored versions of this post, but I will be counting votes only on the main poll, so do please follow the cut over and vote there!
I had a total of 25 entries and elected to take them all. However, since this means some of the entrants have more entries than others, I have elected to allow y’all to choose up to three selections. But no more than three!

Mnemosyne Eve Mycroft would make one bitchin’ name for a protagonist. If’n one of ‘em doesn’t end up being your phone’s name, I’m totally stealing the name for a character assuming I ever finish Melpomene’s Daughter and the recent run of Newfoundlander fiction.

nothing happens. i wait, and wait and wait. if i try to do anything else, a message pops up telling me that it is still processing my last request. betcha this message? is going to take forever to go thru

Actually, I got your comment instantly, so no worries. Note that the ability to leave a comment on this blog doesn’t have anything to do with the ability to read the votes. They’re two different things.
I’m using a particular WordPress plugin to do the poll, so it’s possible that the plugin might not be happy with your browser. What browser are you using and what’s the operating system you’re using it on? Also, do you have Javascript enabled in the browser?

you are probably right – i have an oldish version if IE that i use, although it also won’t work w/ firefox, which is the latest version…

Curious that it doesn’t work on Firefox for you; it works on Firefox just fine for me. Weird. (And I checked on both Firefox on my Mac here at home, and on Firefox on my PC at work…)
